An Unspoken Past, a documentary chronicling the lives of gay women and men who came of age in and around Atlanta during the mid-20th century, seeks to uncover the little-known history of a previously silent generation. Inspired by the Atlanta History Center’s groundbreaking exhibit and subsequent pictorial history, the show is slated to reveal an era formerly obscured by veiled secrecy and faded memory. With exclusive interviews, archival footage, rare photos and personal letters, An Unspoken Past promises to deliver a revealing glimpse into the private lives of a colorful cast of characters.
